This little one sure loves his Grandad!! It was his first real word...

His 2.5 month doctor visit. Immunizations today! :(

11 weeks, 12 pounds, 11 ounces, and 23.5 inches long.

Wow... I keep forgetting to put pics up here, but I'll try to catch you up this week...

In the meantime...

You know how there are moments in your life that you will just never forget? I have quite a few, but I added to my collection Friday after work. Son called to see when I was picking up grandson at about 4:45. I told him I'd be on my way in about 15 minutes. (He lives about 10 minutes away.) He said that grandson had become fussy and almost inconsolable. I could hear him in the background. Son instructed me to not even knock, just come on in when I got there.

As soon as I walked in, one of son's friends was just picking up a crying baby and son said, "Give him to grandma. She just has a way with him." He turned to hand him to me. As grandson saw me, he became excited. You could see it on his face! As soon as I took him in my arms, he wrapped one arm around my arm. With the other arm, he grabbed the front of my shirt and held on, and buried his face in my shoulder. ...and was quiet except for a few excited breaths. It's the best baby hug I've ever had. And he wouldn't let go. At 8 weeks, he knows me. ...he loves me.

Son says, "See what I mean? She has a way with him."

Two weeks

9 - 11 days old

These pics are from when he was 9 days old (at the bottom) to 11 days old (at the top), which is today. We kept him the last two days so they could get rest. His mom was put back in the hospital when he was about a week old for medical reasons with her c-section scar. (Don't want to get graphic here.)

We kept him the second night she was in the hospital to give son a break, and the first night she was home to give them both some time to sleep. He was an absolute angel. No problems or difficulties. He was a joy to watch. Granted, I could have used more sleep, but I'm catching up today. I can't believe how much I'm enjoying him...

We took him to visit her in the hospital.

Here he is at one week old!! I can't believe he's actually a week old today! I spent the day there, but these are the only ones I managed to take today! :D
I'll try to get more tomorrow...

He still doesn't like the flash!! ;D
He's five days old here...































He's such a good little baby. They tell me he's only this good for his grandma, though!
He does have a tendency to totally stop crying and go to sleep when I hold him! What an angel!
